Strategic Partner - Tourism Development

Damien is a strategist who has vast experience in tourism development, communications and public sector management.

He consults on all aspects of local government and tourism development.

Damien was previously a partner of ETC, and he also managed the Tourism, Events, Arts and Marketing (T.E.A.M.) department in Cork City Council where he created and implemented Cork city’s first tourism strategy and was the first Director of Communications.

Damien has a Masters in Law and lectured for a number of years at UCC.  He is also a Director of Cork Convention Bureau and has long established relationships with all major stakeholders in the tourism and communications sectors. He was involved in major events like the Queen’s Visit and the development and growth of annual festivals such as the St Patrick’s Festival and Glow, Cork’s annual Christmas festival, and the Conference of the Isles.

Did you know?  Damien holds a Masters in Law Degree from UCC where he lectured part-time for many years. He’s also a fluent Irish speaker and a talented traditional musician, who loves a good session!
